Joy Is Gratitude

Joy is the simplest form of gratitude - and queer joy, in particular, is revolutionary. It’s a thank you offered not just for what we have, but for who we’ve become despite the odds. When we feel joy, we’re honoring every version of ourselves that hoped for this moment - the freedom, the love, the breath of ease. It doesn’t need to be grand to be powerful. A smile, a safe space, a hand held without fear - these are acts of gratitude wrapped in joy, and for queer people, they are bold declarations that we exist, we matter, and we deserve to feel this good.
