Make Way For Joy

Joy asks us to stay open. Sometimes that means loosening our grip on what once brought light. Not because it wasn’t real, but because something new is trying to reach us. In Queer life, we often carry past versions of ourselves like keepsakes - names we outgrew, roles we survived, places we had to leave. But joy is fluid. It crests and recedes like waves, each one shaped by the letting go that came before. When we trust that rhythm, we make room. And in that space, joy returns - not as repetition, but as renewal.
