The Next Thing
"When you look fear in the face, you are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'"

Each time we look fear in the face and remind ourselves that we have faced something like this (or worse) before and made it through, we increase our capacity to endure, to rise, and to thrive. Joy comes from this resilience - not just surviving but knowing we are capable of handling whatever comes next. Being a Joyful Queer means finding pride in our courage and joy in the strength we’ve built by facing life’s challenges.
